Our Approach
The Jean Tweed Centre works from a women-centered framework that validates the experiences of women and problems related to substance use and gambling within her boarder social and cultural experiences including trauma violence poverty and other determinants of health.
How We Help
Using a variety of approaches, our programs and services help women and their families:
- Understand substance abuse and problem gambling issues, and how they have affected their lives and the lives of those around them
- Gain healthy skills that reinforce healthy lifestyle changes
- Develop coping strategies to support lifestyle changes
- Obtain onsite childcare and child-development services
